Berry sweet... Just need cream!

Good Morning we are ½ way on our Box Clever challenge
and we want to see what boxes you can make?

I thought you might like these tutorials
that I found while browsing

Strawberry box

and I have made another box too! I love that spring is here and the garden is starting to liven up with busy birds and plants...

Being a daft person I thought I would try something I saw last year online,
bicycle wheels are great in the garden! tehhehheheee, my Husband has put it onto a pole and bolted it so we can move it up as the peonies grow taller...

and while watching all the coming and going by birds I managed to snap this photo...

So then to my clever box

and all I need is cream?
well maybe so strawberries and cream sweets to put inside.
To make the pattern on the red card I have used DR7 Spectrum noir pen, the strawberry green is 1" and 1½" punch and all tied up with some twine.

Here are some Challenge I am playing along with...

My Craft Spot - Ribbon & Twine
Ooh La La Creations - Red
Wild Orchid -  Sunshine inspiration - Sunshine helps the strawberries get ripe and taste lush!
One Stop Craft -Anything Goes
Pumpkin spice - Candy or anything sweet
Crafts 4 Eternity - Sweet Tooth
Creative Corner - A Song - Strawberry Fields Forever
Oldie But A Goodie Challenge something at least 6mts old = My flower punches I have had those for about 7 years, and the card is about a year old I don't use a whole lot of plain card these days but was glad to find some in my stash! Inspired by a Song Strawberry Fields Forever

Have a great day hugs me xx

Hells Bells

Hey all its Wednesday and we have a new challenge way at ABC Christmas Challenge  and our Host Lacey has chosen the theme
of J for Jingle Bells

Our sponsor is
Wild Orchid Crafts

As I wanted to make a card with jingle bells on I think this Image covers that but also the bells I added were a very odd looking gold colour so I have sprayed them with spray adhesive and then covered them in glamour dust so that are now sparkly and the gold doesn't look so bright now

Here are a few other challenges I am playing along with this time:

Holly Jolly Christmas Something that begins with the first letter of your first name - Samantha - Sewing.
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Use 6X6 Paper pads

Have a great day and see you at
Photobucket

Box clever.....

Hey all its Tuesday evening and this week has it in for me... Broken cuttlebug, camera playing up and blisters on my hand from digging our allotment!

and Now Mr Blogger deletes my Top Tip Tuesday post and I have had to re write it! DOH!

am the host this time at Top Tip Tuesday and the theme isBox Clever

I would like to see boxes
But No cards

I have followed this tutorial

I loved it so much I decided to have a play and have made the original box and then a couple in different sizes

so I have some measurements to share and also some tips I have that helped me make the box a little easier.

This is the box in its original size.

to make it in a smaller size here is the measurements
12cm x 26cm,
on the 12cm side score at 4cm & 8cm
and on the 26cm side score at 4,8,12,16,20 and 24.... you will have a 2cm end this will be your flap to glue in.
cut the little slithers as below and the bottom 2cmX4cm on the right hand bottom side,

then turn and score  upper portion

I made a little video so you can see better where to score
so that the box will fold the flaps for the top of the box
now be gentle!

you can also see on the original tutorial too!
there is a layout where you can see the cut and score lines.

The fold in the flap and glue into place.

I also found gluing some of the flaps made it easier for fold together the box.

Punch the holes for ribbon

Add ribbon once you have glued everything into place
and decorate.

Here are all 3 boxes

The larger box is
20cm x 26cm
Scored at 4 cm and 16 cm
Then turn and score at 4,8,12,16,20 and 24 cm
and repeat the steps above.

Glue and decorate!
The Image I have used is Meljens Frog in My Pocket

I am really happy with how they turned out...

If you have not guessed already our Fabulous Sponsors is
Meljen's Designs

And we have 2 guests this week too!
and our Design team have pulled out the stops too!

The Other challenges I am playing are:
Simon says Stamp - Things with Wings - Dragonfly punch
Anything Goes Challenge - Shaped but not Square

Hope you can come play our New challenge at Top Tip Tuesday
