Not totally Obscured!

This Fortnights challenge at ABC Christmas challenge
see's us almost at the end of July and the christmas pile of cards is growing nicely
our theme this time is - O for Obscured
There are so many different ways you could do this -
masking one image to obscure part of another

Have a hidden element
Have something hidden inside your creation
I could go one for ages but I decided to make an envelope on the front of my card for a gift card.

Our Sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps so I chose to use snowman skates
I have coloured the image with Spectrum Noir Pens, ran one piece of kraft through the ribbler
then did some doodling and wrote on the envelopeand fishtail and also drew it all together on my sewing machine, finished off with a little glossy accents some liquid pearls and a few enamel dots.

So the envelope would stay closed I added a velcro dot.

Here are some challenges I am playing for this card:

City Crafter - Christmas In July
Crafty Sentiment - Hand Coloured Image
Die Cuttin' Divas - Include Die Cuts - Christmas In July
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Square or Rectangular - Anything Goes
Sweet Stamps - Christmas Tags - fishtail date with date
Sparkles Forum - Christmas in July
Craft Your Passion - Christmas in July
Lexi's Creations - Christmas in July

Living in a material world...

Its Tuesday and its time for a Top Tip Tuesday Challenge
It's Lisa S's turn to host this time
and our theme is

Material Girl

I don't know about you but when I hear those words I immediately think of Madonna singing this song and it invariably gets stuck in my head lol. If you are a Madonna fan and want to base your project on her hit song that's fine by us. Of course you can also incorporate other "material" items such as felt, Jute, cotton or material like the TTT design team did.

Now I am quite excited to share the Sponsor this time because....

Its the sponsor is.....
Drum roll!

A small independently run Fine Arts and Crafts shop in Penrith Cumbria UK

Now I am offering the prize and I am trying to build our Facebook
So I will also select a Facebook winner too!
soo please pop over and give us a like their
and leave a comment to say you have entered the challenge
On the Top Tip Tuesday Post.
SO that is 2 winners for this challenge!!

We also have an awesome tutorial for ya so be sure to check that out!
from Lori Turner with her Colouring with Copics tutorial

so then what did I make?

we I decided to have a bash at making a Keyring...
this is with scraps of material leftover from a top I made a few years ago and some old jeans that no long fit..
(there to big) YAY ME!

Heres the back

Here are some challenges I am playing:

All Crafts Challenge - Anything but a Card
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes/ Buttons
Use Your Stuff - Layers - plenty of those
Anything But A Card - no cards - Anything Goes
Crafting At the Weekend - Anything Goes

N for Numbers

Its time for another ABC Christmas challenge and this time its Helens turn to host the challenge and she has chosen the theme N for Numbers

Our Sponsor is the lovely All Dressed Up.
The image I have used is All Dressed Up For Christmas
I have masked the image on my PC and added the text took me a what seemed like forever! to work out and do but I love the effect of the PC masking think I will be doing this again soon. I have coloured the image with Spectrum noir pens and added some stickles,
the added glossy accents to the baubles and stars.
The text is a poem called The Christmas Tree by K Ross and I have
repeated it so it makes a nice amount of writing.
Oh and yes the challenge at ABC Christmas challenge is N for Numbers!
and if you look a little closer you can see the sentiment at the top is On the 25th December.

Heres a closer look at the tree because you can not see the glossy accents in the main photo

I love the way the light shines on these.

Here are some challenges I am playing along with this time:

Inky Chicks - Christmas in July
Christmas Cards All Year Round - non traditional colours
All Dressed Up – Favorite All Dressed Up Image
Cards Galore Encore - Use a Digi or Rubber Stamp
Crafty Boots - Christmas in July
The Glory of Christmas - Anythings Christmas Goes
Fitztown Challenge - Anything Goes - Pick a Holiday - Christmas
